Lanka Virtual Academy (Pvt) Limiited (referred to as "Lanka Virtual Academy", "lankavirtualacademy.com", "lva.lk", "Us", "Our" or "We" as applicable), provides https://www.lankavirtualacademy.com  (the "Website"), and its internet-based after-school learning programs (collectively referred to as "Offerings") for students, subject to the subscriber’s compliance with the following Website Terms of Use ("Terms"), as well as any other written agreement(s) between Us and the subscriber.

1.1. Any version of Lanka Virtual Academy's Website Terms of Use in a language other than English is provided only for the purpose of convenience, and thus, you understand and agree that the English language will control if there is any conflict.

1.2. Lanka Virtual Academy reserves the right to change these Website Terms of Use from time to time with or without notice to you. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to periodically review this Site and the stated Terms. Your continued use of this Website and the Offerings after such modifications will constitute your acknowledgement and acceptance of the modified Terms.

1.3. By accessing and using the offerings on this Website, you agree to be bound by the stated Terms. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, please exit this Website. The sole remedy for dissatisfaction with this Website, or the Offerings available on this Website, or the stated Terms is to cease using this Website.

2.1 Lanka Virtual Academy provides a number of Offerings and Services for users on its website, including, but not limited to, providing membership based online after-school programs to help students learn and practice Mathematics, Science, Information & Communication Technology and Business & Accounts Studies.

2.2. In order to use Lanka Virtual Academy's services, you must obtain access to the Internet and pay the relevant subscription fees associated with the selected course of study. In addition, you must possess all equipment necessary to make such connection to the Internet.

2.3. Although Lanka Virtual Academy works very hard to provide high-quality services, you must understand and acknowledge that We cannot promise or guarantee specific or consistent experiences from using Our Website or Offerings available on Our Website.

2.4. Due to the inherent nature of websites in general, Lanka Virtual Academy cannot guarantee the uninterrupted or continuous availability of Our Website, and the Subscriber accepts that the Website may also be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or scheduled upgrades. Lanka Virtual Academy will not accept any liability in relation to the Website’s downtime, whether scheduled or otherwise.

2.5. The Subscriber acknowledges that Lanka Virtual Academy may, in their absolute discretion, replace, amend or delete content to better reflect the Sri Lankan Government provided school curriculums and may alter the location of such content on its Website.

2.6. Lanka Virtual Academy makes no guarantee that all the content on our Website will be accessible via all browsers and/or on all the computers or mobile devices. Therefore, the Subscriber indemnifies Lanka Virtual Academy against any and all claims for any loss or expense incurred by the Subscriber, and/or any refund of the Subscription Fee, due to lack of functionality.

2.7. Our customer support team shall be available via telephone and email during standard business hours and such other hours as Lanka Virtual Academy may advertise on our Website.

3.1. Be sure to carefully read and understand all of the rights and restrictions described in these Terms. The prospective subscribers or enrollees are required to review and either accept or not accept the Terms. Users cannot subscribe to Lanka Virtual Academy’s services without first accepting the Terms. The Subscriber is taken to have fully read, understood and exclusively accepted and is immediately bound, by these terms and conditions when the Subscriber clicks on the SUBMIT button provided in the course subscription form.

3.2. To subscribe to any course at Lanka Virtual Academy you will require an email-id and be required to create a password during the subscription process. The given email-id and the created password will prove to be your credential to access your subscription account at Lanka Virtual Academy. Being a subscriber at Lanka Virtual Academy, you are hereby agreeing to not allow other users to enter Lanka Virtual Academy using your email id and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. You agree to immediately notify Lanka Virtual Academy of any unauthorised use of your email id or password or any other breach of security, and always ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. Lanka Virtual Academy will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this Terms.

3.3. Students under the age of 18 must be signed up by their parents or legal guardian and these parents or guardian must provide the identifying information required in the subscription form. We highly recommend that the parents or guardian monitor the intended enrollee’s use of the internet.

4.1. The subscription fees are as set out in our Website “Courses” page. The subscription fee is prepaid in one lump-sum amount and valid for twelve consecutive months. The term begins immediately upon settlement of the subscription fees and the consequent activation of access to the subscribed courseware. The validity of subscription will continue until the first anniversary of the subscription i.e. 365 days from your subscription date. At the conclusion of the 12 months term, you will be required to renew your subscription by paying the relevant course fees for your next 365 days to avail our services.

The 365 days subscription lifecycle provides students with the freedom to subscribe to our Offerings at any given time of the year without losing a single penny, as Lanka Virtual Academy allows students to switch course whenever they are being promoted to the next grade. This will allow the students to consume the full 365 days of subscription lifecycle at the same time keeping parallel with their designated school curriculum.

4.2. The course registration, payment of subscription fees and course activation are made very simple, secure and straight forward. 

Upon registering for the service you will be sent an email to your registered email address immediately. The email message will confirm your selected course of study and the relevant subscription fees. In addition, you will be prompted with a link to click in order to verify the authenticity of your email address and to provide you with further payment and course activation instructions.

If you do not receive the confirmation message within a few minutes of registering, please check your Spam, Junk or Bulk Mail folder depending on your email service provider. If you still cannot find the email, please call us at +954 12 1234 5678 or send us a message at subscription@lankavirtualacademy.com, we will be delighted to assist you.

4.3. Lanka Virtual Academy shall not be liable for payment of subscription fees deposited to the wrong account due to quoting of incorrect bank account information.

5.1. The Subscriber deserves the right to cancel the subscription within 14 days from the course activation date without giving any reason whatsoever.  In such cases, 50 percent of the total subscription fees paid will be refunded. Should the subscriber cancel the subscription after 14 days, the course fees charged are non-refundable and the subscriber’s service will continue until the end of the billing period unless the subscriber requests the removal of his or her account from our system.

5.2. To exercise the right to cancel, the subscriber must inform Lanka Virtual Academy of the decision to cancel the subscription by a clear statement (i.e. a letter, fax or email) before the 14 days cancellation period expires. If the subscriber cancels the subscription within the 14 days cancellation period, Lanka Virtual Academy will refund the subscriber (or any third party who made the payment on behalf of the subscriber) all payments received. The refund will be made within 14 days after the day on which Lanka Virtual Academy is informed about the subscriber’s decision to cancel the subscription. The refund will be made using the same means of payment as used for the initial transaction unless the subscriber has expressly agreed otherwise.

6.1. Lanka Virtual Academy neither endorses nor assumes any liability for any material uploaded, comment, question or answer submitted by users on any part of our website, however, Lanka Virtual Academy reserves the right to remove, restrict or edit such postings for the purpose of moderation or clarity at our sole discretion without prior notice to the user. Lanka Virtual Academy is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing or moderating such postings.

7.1. All content and offerings on our website are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
